The Houston 100

If you haven't had time to look over the Houston Chronicle's list of Houston's Top 100 businesses, take a look sometime. I looked it over, noted with pride that a number of the companies listed have been our clients, which confirms something I've known for a while: the success of any Houston business is good for all Houston business. The Chronicle also had a list of the Top 25 Minority-owned businesses; we haven't made it yet, but keep an eye on Dunn Special in years to come!

Our company recently moved to brand new offices near the Gulf Freeway at 8920 Winkler. This is the first time we've had offices custom built for us, and it's a real pleasure. We had started out years ago as a home office, moved up to lease office space from an old client, but as time went by and we added staff and hardware, it became clear that we were getting "too big for our britches".

Now I look at these beautiful new offices and know that we've got the space we need, the layout we want to work together, the wiring we need to operate our network and phone system efficiently, all created with our future plans for growth and expansion in mind.

Proud? You bet!

Not that it comes without growing pains. Office furnishings don't grow on trees. If you've ever moved a business, you're familiar with what a hassle the endless address changes can be - I wish I had a magic business card that I could update by remote control, everywhere I've left it. It's a lot of work, but it leaves you with a good feeling, knowing that you're growing and building a company, and a good reputation.
